The EDC helps fund projects that improve learning around the world. Along with the National Science Foundation, they commissioned us to design a Drupal-based website for naturalist Bernard Zubrowski so he could share his learning plans for helping teens explore and appreciate nature. This was my first foray into CMS-driven, templated website design and I found it an extremely challenging, yet rewarding project. I researched Drupal themes, figured out how to navigate its coding system (via both provided documentation as well as forums and chats), and determined how to best implement my design. The final product is far from the most attractive website I’ve designed, but being introduced into Content Management Systems was an invaluable experience in my career.
